The Caprock Hospital, is a premiere facility in Bryan, Texas. The hospital was uniquely designed on a skewed axis that maximizes the facility’s visibility from the surrounding streets. The bend is further defined by the building’s exaggerated vertical core and two extending wings, each housing separate diagnostic and inpatient functions for the hospital. The central core acts as the administrative hub. It also provides space for the imaging and support areas. Within the patient wing is an expressed indoor and outdoor family area. This area is a unique feature of the facility as it provides a multi-use space for staff, patient and community functions.
