University of Houston Science and Engineering Building - Multiple Levels  I  Houston, TX

Level 1 - This build-out consists of approximately 8,900 SF and accommodates a new Nano Center, Optical Labs and Device Manufacturing Labs.

Level 2 - The construction consists of approximately 20,600 SF for Computational and Biochemistry Labs. In addition to the large open lab spaces, the following functions will be accommodated: Tissue Culture Rooms, Chemical & Isotope Fume Hoods, Equipment Rooms, Environmental Rooms, and Autoclave Glasswash.

Level 3 - Microbiology Labs - The researcher is world renowned Dr. Jan-Ake Gustafsson, M.D., Ph.D., professor, Department of Biosciences & Nutrition- Center for Nuclear Receptors and Cell Signaling.  In addition to the large open lab spaces, the following functions will be accommodated: RNA room, pre-PCR and bacterial culture labs, a microscope lab that supports four cell culture Labs, a UV-Gel lab, darkroom and a large glasswash room.

Level 4 - The construction consists of approximately 20,600 SF for Computational and Biochemistry Labs. In addition to the large open lab spaces, the following functions will be accommodated: Tissue Culture Rooms, Chemical & Isotope Fume Hoods, Equipment Rooms, Environmental Rooms, and Autoclave Glasswash.

Level 5 - Synthetic Chemistry Lab - The researcher is Scott R. Gilbertson, Ph.D. The Project consists of the buildout of the fifth floor ‘shell’ space and houses synthetic chemistry labs, NMR lab, instrument lab, open offices, and chemical storage.
